The 100 seated, Loughside Café has panoramic views of Lough Neagh and offers our customers a wide choice of freshly prepared local produce. At the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, we have a strong commitment to healthier eating. We source our ingredients from local suppliers, thereby ensuring freshness and supporting the local food industry.
When cooking our food, we use the healthy methods of braising, baking, boiling and grilling. However, when this is not possible, we use sunflower oil to lightly fry. We also supply low fat spreads or butter if required. We do not add salt in the cooking process but use herbs and spices to enhance the flavour. When mayonnaise is used in our salads, we use the healthier ‘light’ option.
With the flexibility of our own in-house chefs and catering staff we have established a reputation for providing high quality and reasonably priced food. We do not compromise on quality and we can customise our menus to suit any group, individual or dietary requirement.
We cater for a wide variety of tastes. Local produce and fresh ingredients are combined to ensure your dining experience is an unforgettable one.
We serve hot food daily including Weekday and Sunday lunch specials.
Function Rooms
Islandview Room
The Islandview Room, located on the ground floor, has beautiful views of Lough Neagh and offers an impressive setting for any conference and seminar. The room has large windows all around with natural light.
Included in the room is a PA system with wireless microphones, podium, ceiling data projector and Wi-Fi.
Annaloiste Board Room
The Annaloiste room is located on the first floor of the Centre and has easy access by stairway or lift. The room has a magnificent view of Lough Neagh and has 20 boardroom style chairs. The room also includes a data projector, air conditioning, black-out blinds, natural light and Wi-Fi.
Kinnego Room
The Kinnego Room, named after the nearby bay, is located on the ground floor of the Centre. Included in the room is a data projector, blackout blinds and Wi-Fi.
